DEEP HEALING FOR DEEP WOUNDS GATHERING - 2013

On Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, in the year of the 175th anniversary of the Trail of Tears, we hosted the Deep Healing for Deep Wounds Conference. Our Cherokee leadership asked if we were ready to close the door on our 15 year assignment to do our part to repent to our Native brothers and sisters and cleanse the land where the horrible atrocities of the Indian Removal Act and the Trail of Tears happened. We had also travelled to Northern Ireland with our Native brothers and sisters and hosted the Scott Irish here to deal with generational issues, since President Andrew Jackson’s forefathers and many of ours emigrated from there. We knew it was time, so we formally closed the door for us and the Natives who have worked with us.

At the gathering, we dug deeper, to the root biblical issue. We faced the fact that it was the iniquities of our forefathers that caused us to be removed from our lands of origin. (Adam and Eve, Babel and Israel are biblical examples of this spiritual principle.) Israel, our example and instruction, was not removed because of the bad Babylonians, but for her own idolatry, covenant breaking, sexual immorality and innocent bloodshed. Babylon certainly was and is bad, and she will definitely answer for every iniquity, but Israel has Lost Tribes because of their own iniquity. So it is with every nation.

Many of us saw this, fell on our faces, numbered ourselves with the transgressors and repented for ourselves and our forefathers all the way back to Adam and Eve for our iniquities (perverted mindsets that led us into horrible sins). A precious friend even came over from Northern Ireland to repent for the idolatrous Druid ancestors of the Scott Irish.

For us, this completed our assignment and closed the door to the past. This gathering has now allowed us to go through new doors on a new path into a whole new season and realm, hand in hand with our Native brothers and sisters who repented for their forefathers, also.

These prayers added to the multitudes of prayers of those living today and those of the Great Cloud of Witnesses, all the way back to the Roundup and even earlier. The bowls in heaven that contain all those prayers are now full and are being poured out. Seeds of reconciliation have now begun to produce much fruit. If you have ever repented for your forefathers and prayed for the healing of all who have suffered from the Trail of Tears, I honor you and want you to know that you have been a part of what YHWH is doing now.

But let me also say this. The fact that our assignment is completed may not mean that yours is. You do what YHWH tells you to do.

One evidence of fruit for all who have sown seeds of reconciliation was the fact that the TN Legislature has now come up to the plate and unanimously owned TN’s part in the Indian Removal Act and the Trail of Tears. This resulted in the Resolution of Restoration from TN to the Native People and a glorious celebration in the House Chambers on June 27, 2014 with a packed house of Native Americans, African Americans and whites celebrating what the blood of Yeshua has done for us all.

Chattanooga, TN, the US, the state of TN and others have now owned our part and expressed our hearts. It would be wonderful if every state would own our horrendous sins against Native Americans, African Americans and every other ethnic group that has been grossly wronged. That would truly help facilitate the flow of repentance and forgiveness so we can heal our land and all be one, as Yeshua prayed. It takes every ethnic group to see the full image of our Creator.

Now it is time to move on. This is the year of the new door and new path – a door and path to reconciliation and the fulfillment of why YHWH put us all on this land together in the first place, a door to healing and personal and corporate destiny with no more racism, brother against brother or hope deferred!
